How can i find more out about someone if i have only their name and email address? I have got a few emails from an anonymous person using their friend's account, and need to trace this person. It is not spam, they are genuine emails

If the e-mail account is a hotmail one, they may have a profile. If you know roughly where they are likely to live, you could do a search on the White Pages. Type the name in Google, you'd be surprised how many people unknowingly have their name on the Web.
Other than that, could you not just ask them what you want to know?

Their friend must know you so why not ask them.
