Sky Digi Box - problems
4 Answers
Hi - I wondered if there is anything else i can try before i call out sky to fix my TV transmission and they charge me the hefty sum of 65....had digi box for over 2 years now, no problems until freak weather monday night seems to have affected the signal. I have turned the box off for a while and on again, and all i am getting is a message that no satellite signal is being received....help, it could be something reallty simply that could save me this cost.

We had the same problem during the snow storms a month or so ago - (as did a number of other people locally) I called Sky and had to wait a week for a call out but it turned out to be the LNB had been damaged and the SKY repairer put a new Cap on the dish- however , he did suggest that if we had called SKY and advised them we were a bit miffed as to what had happened and wanted to cancel they would have waived the call out charge ? may be worth having a quick check on the "Digital Spy" forum (if you google it) and you may get better advice, but it does sound rather "terminal" as mine did and possibly something you may not be able to do yourself ??
Good luck
