I'm in Scotland and have a friend who is in France. I'm on 02 and he's on Vodafone. If I'm sending him a text, would it cost me more than my usual 10p to text someone at home?

It used to be that you could text anyone, anywhere in the world for the same price. My contract now charges me double for a text to abroad, and it doesn't count in one of my free ones for the month.

Or, if he has a UK mobile, ie he's on holiday rather than living in France with a French Vodafone phone (does Voda have a French division?), it won't cost you any more, but will cost him a small fortune to recieve it.
Yesit costs 20p to send a text via 02 to Europe
