What are the obsolescence risks in buying a HD-Ready TV (with HDMI interface) now. I understand that Hollywood is threatening to stop any audio-visual manufacturer that sells an unencrypted signal out of the HD DVD device. Irrespective of whether BluRay or HD DVD wins the battle of the DVD standards, does this mean that HD-Ready TV sets would then be incapable of receiving signals from the DVD players?
