recording from digital cable

Is there a system yet that lets you record more than one channel on cable when you're out, eg Sky 1 and another later on discovery? The theory seems simple but there is no literature in the retailers about it, though there seems to be something called qlink, but no details were given on the TV brochure I read.

They have different software in different regions (I would refer you to the NTLHellworld site - which was independant, but was then bought and run fairly uncensored by NTL, but they seem to have shut it down). I'm pretty sure that at the last upgrade, I lost the option to "autochange" to the channel, but the software now does it automatically (though the reminder still comes up on screen, enabling you to manually change before the software does it for you). Have you tried just leaving the box to do it's thing and see what happens? I know I rang NTL to point out that their EPG was pretty useless for taping when away from home, and felt a bit stupid when they told me that the reminder swapped channels for you. Mind you, there's nothing on-screen anywhere to let you know this!
