Hi, I have a Freecom 80GB external Hard drive which contains around 50GB of MP3 Files, unfortunaly I am having problems accessing the drive. I plug it into my PC via USB and my PC seems to detect it I then go into My Computer to find it & it is not there, then my PC starts to run really slow & stop responding? As soon as I disconnect the Drive my PC goes back to normal & is running at normal speed. DO I just have a faulty Drive or is there something else I can do to access the drive & extract the files? Please help. Thanks

Try it in a different port (preferably one actually on the PC and not a hub), also try it on another machine and/or with a different USB lead.
