Im thinking of doing a writing course with The Writers Bureau,has anyone done this course or anything like it and might be able to give me some advice?

Chimpy, I was considering doing this course a number of years ago as I've always wanted to be in print. I didn't enrol in the end as money was tight so I can't comment on the value of the course, but what I can tell you is this... After I applied (but then didn't enrol) there was a period of time where they kept contacting me by post offering significant discounts and easier ways to pay. Just a thought, by hanging on you may save some money!
You may be better going to college to do an evening course in Creative Writing - I would be very wary of commercial operations such as this. You can easily be stung by vanity companies that flatter your ego and run with your money. Criticism and feedback are also a very valuable part of the learning processs, which you get in a class but I doubt you would get on one of these courses.
