It has digital zoom but not optical zoom.

Most people agree digital zoom is a waste of time (it just enlarges the centre of the picture making it SEEM you have zoomed in but you have not, thus the picture quality drops).

So without optical zoom this cannot be recommend (particularly at �50)

You would be far better spending �20 more and getting a Canon or Nikon which will have optical zoom AND a far better lens.

Shops like Argos and Jessops are always having deals on older models of good cameras like Canon and Nikon.

Go for a "name" make.

I know it is �28 more, but it is a FAR better camera and worth paying the extra for.

Or maybe this Pentax at �66 is an option.

Vivitar cameras are excellent value for money. They have superb quality lenses in my experience.

I am on my third Vivitar digital camera now :-)
