How can I resolve this problem: a mystery page has adopted itself onto my internet connection. I can change to another home page but this mystery page just keeps coming back and takes over from the original page I have set. This constant invasion really is most annoying and I can find no trace of this page anywhere on my system. Nothing I do to get rid of this and return to normality seems to work......HELP........

Try downloading CWSshredder or spybot search and destroy.
I would just like to add that I have recently developed exactly the same problem as nuova, and was similarly going to post a request for help. My rogue page has the address res://mshp.dll/index.html#37049, if that means anything to anyone. Everytime I use Explorer this thing takes over and I cannot find a way to be rid of it. As with nuova, all help will be greatly appreciated.
Try this software:

http://www.pjwalczak.com/spguard/index.php

It prevents your home page from being hi-jacked. Also you could try running either of these two programmes to find and destroy the file that is highjacking your home page:

Ad-aware by lavasoft - http://www.lavasoftusa.com/

and Spybot search and destroy - http://www.safer-networking.org/

By the way......all three are freeware.

Thanks for the reply buttons and rinkytink.....I shall try this at the weekend.....
Thanks from me too, rinkytink. I'm running Norton Anti-virus, is there any conflict ? Also, which is best, lavasoft or spybot? (I am inclined towards spybot, but is this right?)
I have the same problems with my home page continually changing to 'about:blank', neither spybot nor ad-aware removed it. HELP!@!!!!!!
