How can I resolve this problem: a mystery page has adopted itself onto my internet connection. I can change to another home page but this mystery page just keeps coming back and takes over from the original page I have set.
This constant invasion really is most annoying and I can find no trace of this page anywhere on my system.
Nothing I do to get rid of this and return to normality seems to work......HELP........
I would just like to add that I have recently developed exactly the same problem as nuova, and was similarly going to post a request for help. My rogue page has the address res://mshp.dll/index.html#37049, if that means anything to anyone. Everytime I use Explorer this thing takes over and I cannot find a way to be rid of it. As with nuova, all help will be greatly appreciated.
It prevents your home page from being hi-jacked. Also you could try running either of these two programmes to find and destroy the file that is highjacking your home page:
Thanks from me too, rinkytink. I'm running Norton Anti-virus, is there any conflict ? Also, which is best, lavasoft or spybot? (I am inclined towards spybot, but is this right?)
