I am just about to buy a new computer, any ideas on what I should do with my old one? I have also got an old mobile phone that I don't need any more

It depends how desirable the products are. One option is to take them to your local 'Cash Convertors' if there is one near you. They buy electrical products, but don't expect more than a bargain basement offer - they need to make their profit!
Another option is to put them on an online auction. www.ebay.co.uk and www.friday-auction.co.uk are both very good auction sites. They are simple to use, and you can dictate how much you want for them.
