Date on taskbar

Why can I no longer see the date when I hover the curser over the time on the taskbar? It seems to be hiding somehow.

Right click on the Task Bar and check "Show the Clock"

Thanks Trum, I tried that but it's still not working right.
The date does actually pop up when I hover over the time, but it is hiding behind the task bar and not enough of it is showing to read the date! Weird
