My mailbox alwayys use to display my new messages at the top for me to read, now it seems to place them randomly in my folder, Why?

You've probably clicked one of the column headers to rearrange them according to different criteria, kevinh. Just click the column header marked 'Received' and they'll go into chronological order again. If they go into reverse order the first time, click it again to reverse it.
