wireless enabled laptop

i have 2 desktop pcs working fine on netgear wireless. just bought a wireless enabled laptop but im unable to connect it to my existing connection. pls can any 1 tell me what I have to do

Quick way of checking is your system tray (Bottom right hand corner of your screen) , see if there is an icon of a computer emitting three curves. Chances are that its not.
If its not press the "Windows" button and the "Pause/ Break" button @ the same time. This will give you "System properties". Click on the "Hardware" tab then "Device Manager"
Look for "Network Adapter" exand the icon then make sure your wireless adapter is enabled. If you need more help check websites on the net there is some great advise out there.
