Canon 1000 S.L.R

I have got a Canon 1000 auto focus S.L.R Does anybody know if the lenses will work on the 350d model.

If your camera is an EOS 1000, yes it will work.

Don't forget that you will have to multiply the focal lengths of your lenses by 1.6 to get their effective length on the 350d, thus your standard 50mm lens becomes an 80mm on the 350d. This is because the 350d (& 400d & 30d) all have a sensor that is smaller than a standard 35mm frame, there is a technical explanation but I last did physics 30 years ago and I can't remember it off the top of my head.

Thanks Fitzer so long as it makes my poor attempts at photography look half decent I will be more than pleased.Any info on the camera ,is it worth the money.

The 350d is a very nice entry level D(igital)-SLR, I bought the 300d when it came out. The standard lens it comes with (18-55) is not very good and great improvements will come with better lenses. It has a pretty good set of auto modes but can be used to great effect in the 'creative' modes where you are in charge of exposure/aperture etc. Don't be afraid to use the RAW setting for capturing pictures, they may eat up your memory card but since no processing is done in the camera you can correct for under or over exposure on your computer without getting the 'washed-out' results you got with trying to fix a mucked up film shot.
