Can anyone advise me as to how I can back-up the list of web addresses that I have in 'My Favourites'? After several years of building a rather extensive collection of sites useful to me, I really would feel happier if I had a copy of it on CD or Floppy...

you could try locating the file through My Computer, on XP it is in Documents and Settings, then the folder with your user name on it, then there is the "favorites" folder - you can then just back this up onto a floppy or cd - you can try the "search" facility to locate it, but remember the american spelling of "favorite".
Its much easier than that. Go into Internet Explorer (thats if your using it) the go to File : Import and Export and follow the instructions from there. You can then save that anywhere you fancy, and in the event of a disaster restore it using the same method.

The best thing to do is to avoid the computer crashing altogether. Set up an account with http://www.SaveLinks.co.uk and use them instead.
