alternative phone number

does anyone out there have an alternative phone number for HM Revenue& Customs instead of 0845 3003904?I've tried 'Saynoto0870' with no result. Thank you

I never dial 0845 or 0870 numbers.

Try 0161 930 8445

But an 0845 number is charged as a local call, if Jean is in Plymouth and calls Manchester then she's going to get charged long distance. All well and good if she can't get any joy on the 0845 but I suspect they all end up at the same place. Now I fully agree with Ethel on the 0870.

Fitzer - you are correct assuming the call is from a landline.

I don't have a landline, and all non-geographical numbers such as 0845 are expensive from Skype and mobiles.

Ahh, well there could be another reason too.

I'm with a Tiscali Broadband/Phone package and all my phone calls are free with the exception of 0845, 0645, 0870, mobiles and premium rate numbers.

When I dial an 0845 number it costs me money. Dialling 0161 930 8445 costs me nothing as long as I don't stay on the line for over an hour.

0845 numbers may not cost much, but an 0161 is cheaper still!

jean may well be on something like this.
