Hello all,

If I try to send a text message to a mobile phone, and it says "Message failed, please try again later" .. and when I ring the phone, it says "Sorry, the person you are trying to reach is not currently able to accept calls" ... what does this mean?

Not sure whether this is really in the right section as it's more an annoyance to me that I haven't been able to get hold of my sister for 2 days, instead of an actual enquiry about technology ... I just wondered whether it means her phone is broken? Surely if it's just switched off, the message would still send and she just wouldn't receive it until she switches her phone back on?

Thanks if anybody can help :)

Even if her phone was broken I think it would still send the message, like if it had been switched off.

Is she on contract, has she been cut off by her network?

Yep that's what I thought, because messages do usually still send .. but this time it's failing.

She is on contract, and may have been cut off .. I never thought of that .. does it not even let you receive messages or calls then if it's been cut off?
