Is it possible to copy music from ipod onto hard drvie

Hi I am planning on changing my ipod battery but want to back up all my music from my ipod. I have them some where backuped but on my ipod they are all nicely organised which I did in itunes. So I want to back up from my ipod so if I lose all my song I can add them again and not spend hours and hours sorting them out in itunes. My ipod is set up manul so does not save itunes folder of music on hard drive.

Thanks for that link. Fantastic little software that does exactly what I wanted. The only thing is it does not save the images I added to tracks like album covers. Its not a big issue but just wondered if in explorer is there way to link album cover to the folders

I've no idea about that I'm afraid, but iTunes can grab lots of the images for you anyway, with a valid iTunes/Apple account.
