Im thinking of getting a new 37" lcd tv i already have sky so do i need one without freeview or will sky still work with the freeview built in to the tv,

Sky will still work. And you may find it useful to revert to 'aerial' freeview if Sky have problems.

Why would you want one with Freeview if you already have sky and are happy with it? If you're not and thinking of ditching Sky for freeview - be careful at the amount of chanels you may lose out to.

I'd just buy a plane and simple LCD TV

you should find that there is little difference in price.
