Msn Messanger crashes!

My msn messanger crashes when there are more then 4 people in the conversation. Although if i watch the conversation nothing happens, as soon as i try to type the program crashes. YES i have tried contacting microsoft several times, but they were as useful as a chocolate teapot. Any ideas anyone?
