I've recently come into possession of an iPAQ rz1710, and know nothing at all about PDAs. But I believe it is possible to kit them out to use as a SATNAV. Is this true?

How (in the VERY SIMPLEST and cheapest terms) is this possible?

Also, can I use it to connect to the internet using my sonyericsson as a modem? How?

Many thanks

Yes you can get Sat Nav - but since it doesn't have bluetooth you will need to fix it by cable.

HP did actually package TomTom with the HP1710 so you may find some TomTom units on ebay where people have broken the pda.

With regards to connecting it to your phone, again you will need to do it by a cable - personally I would bother.
sorry, that should be wouldn't bother.
