What is a good mobile to get as an up-grade?

I'm due an up-grade from Vodafone anddon't want to get caught out when they suggest handsets I've never heard of so could anyone reccomend something hot, new, decent! Do you think they'll let me change back to a 12 month contract? I hate 18months, it's out of order! I've been with them for years.

I always had nokia but i have recntly changed to sony ericsoon K800i. This is the best phone i have ever had, it takes a little while to get use to, but i would certainly recommend it to anyone.

I've heard mixed things about the N95 thought - mostly that it is a bit over-loaded!!
