On my Nokia 6300, i have the option of 'flight mode'. What does this mean?

Also, does this mean that it is safe to use your mobile on a plane or it ok switched on whilst flying. I have no idea and just wondered. Can u accept calls in this mode.

Thanks again.

floght mode is totally pointless, you cant recieve calls or texts etc, i think they only have flight mode so you can play games as that is the only thing you can do with it, or if u have a built in mp3 you can listen to the music
flight mode even, don't you just love it when wine makes all the keys stick together
Yes it means you are safe to use it in flight - but when you get on a plane they tell you that even if you have this option on your mobile you must still switch it off. so basically it is a usless option on phones!! maybe people who have private flights use it - i wouldn't know. I suppose if you were on a long flight and mobiles were going off left right and centre and people talking on them would be rather annoying, maybe thats why they make you switch them off!!
