It happens automatically if you are connected to the internet and use Windows Media Player (definitely WMP11, and pretty sure it works with 10 as well). Real Player also identifies the tracks too, not sure about album art.
Doesn't seem to work with "home compilations", though.
LeMarchand: yea, the app grabs the unique disc ID and then finds that in the database that it uses. Home made compilations have a disc ID that isn't recognised in the database of official audio CDs, and so the information isn't found.
