Pc problem

can anyone help me with this keep getting a pop up telling me my computor needs a fix it is persistant and annoying it is called www.msreg.com or www.registrycleanerxp.com keeps saying critical error message.Help

Something has downloaded that rogue program onto your computer, Im afraid. There are tools to remove them properly, not your common anti-spy stuff, plus you need to discover what installed it and what else resides on your comp.
Unfortunately this forum doesnt have a section for it. If you want properly cleaned up, let me know and Ill provide links to the right forums, which are free and manned by volunteers.

yes.you could also have inadequate security on your computer.try running a free scan for trojans from here.http://us.mcafee.com/root/mfs/default.asp.
.and also check that u have a good copy of windows with service pack 2 installed.without these your pc is vunerable .

Thanks for your assistance, I have logged onto site as suggested, the problem is more complex. Was doing this on behalf of my brother mark, who has problems with literacy alas however he is doing well, he seems to allow everything on his pc bless, he had not even downloaded his Norton antivirus , i have done that mow, however it has not killed the trojan thing,if you can talk me through it I can relay this to Mark in simple english, so he may be able to fix it himself, Not being so comp literate myself although not being thick, I do understand most of the stuff, I am able to set up things and apply stuff, I hope this is not too much of a problem, Mark or Andy as our family call him can and is willing to try. I do thank you for your assistance in this matter, I live in Essex he lives in Worcestershire, on one of the flood planes and i was just visiting, however I am moving to the Iske of Man by end of August and would like to help if I can, with your expert assistance.

Yes I registered there but then had problems and \marks npc wanted ton shutdown and i had to nleave by then soni left it undone but yes I am registered

Mac70 Hi there its late i dont know if i can don this when so tired afer driving so long,however I am persistant,but not annoyingly so so will endeavour to hopefully get this fixed tomorrow, if that is ok with you, its one of those things if you knew how you would fix, i have seen it done in the past but cannot remember where to go to do it, Hope I am not being too much of a pain in the rump.
