Is there any way to copy programmes from my sky + box to my computer hard drive? I know that they both have USB ports and SVid sockets.

Hi there man u i asked this question some time ago on here and the answer is no, apparantly the usb port on the sky serves no purpose at all the only way round this is the old fashioned way transer to dvd then to your hard drive
No. The files on the Sky+ box are encoded and require the Sky card to unscramble them.

You could hunt round the web to see if anyone has a workaround, but when I have looked in the past it was not possible.
If you have a tv card then you could play the sky box through the rf aerial and then capture it using your tv card software
