A small laptop
3 Answers
I am looking to buy a small laptop but I don't really know where to start.
My current laptop is rather big and bulky for the purpose of sitting on my lap while I commute. As such, I'm looking for something small and light.
I would like it to have wifi, operate Windows and have a long life battery. Other than that, I'm not really fussed. Does anyone have such a machine they could recommend?

This looks good - but it's pink. High spec for such a small machine, though:

And this Medion is teeny:

How much do you want to pay? The Sony is around 1300.
Do you want a laptop style or a tablet?

Thanks for the links ethel. I think I'd like a smaller one than 12 inch though. That said, I do want a laptop with a keyboard, cd drive etc, not a funny handheld thing (I've got a blackberry for that). As to budget, I think if it was something that absolutely fitted what I was looking for, I could bring myself to spend 1200.
Providing tablets aren't too difficult to use on a day to day basis, I don't really mind. If anything, they look lighter (which is a good thing). I was browsing the wonderful web and found a Fujitsu Siemens p1610 lifebook. Are particuarly reliable?
God, I really don't know anything about computers!!
