Do VCR recorders have heaters in them?Mine worked fine for years on standby every night,then turned it off once at the plug for two days and it refused to come back on.So much for the 'greens' telling us to not leave on standby!

I never eat cheese and onion crisps. The other day someone offered me one and I ate it. Two days later my car wouldn't start. So much for the makers telling us that they are harmless.

some points.
1. Plug it back in.
2. Press the power button, not the standby button.
3. Check the fuse.
4. For god's sake buy a dvd recorder.
