cookie enabling

I recently had my computer de-fragged (thanks dave, you are a computer genius) and had lots of firewall/spywareprotection doo-dahs installed (honestly, its great D, an i ain't complainin') but i inadvertantly blocked cookies from my email and the page won't load, i can't get in. have tried enabling cookies per page but it won't have it...... any ideas? am useless with computers, so would be grateful if answer kept REALLY simple....

She's using Windows Me btw and if no-one can help I shall get on my bike this arvo and go round there - please do your best as I am fat and unfit and it's uphill all the way back.
