I'm shopping for a new laptop and came across a brand - Alienware. Does anyone have an opinion on them?

Oh I should have added that my prefered option is the Toshiba Tecra M2 1.7 G ?

In my opinion having owned various brands from Toshiba, Sony and Alienware, i feel that Alienware is head and shoulders above other brands. They are at the forefront of technology and offer alot of performance for your buck. Essentially you are getting more for your money. Also they look pretty good too!

Alienware are the bees knees!!. They make top end gaming pc's and do not normally come cheap. One of their laptops will be geared towards high quality enterntainment rather than mobile office apps. Some serious kit if you want to spend the cash. Highly reccomended

Most main-brand laptops contain the same innards and are just cased differently by the various manufacturers and priced at whatever they think their brand name warrants.So forget picking Toshiba as necessarily being better than any other brand. Agree with the other two contributors regarding Alienware. However if you are considering something of a more standard nature look at the Acer range for value - for - money bearing in mind that they carry a 2yr warranty as standard.( don`t let Comet tell you otherwise)
