is it possible to embed an image into a Word document and if so how?

Insert > Picture > From file... then explore to the image you want to insert.

Thanks for replying but what I meant was putting an image into the background of a word document so I can just write straight over it!, Any ideas? Thanks J
Insert the image as above. Right click it and click on format picture. Click the layout tab and select behind text. You can then type text over the picture.
