CD-RW problem
2 Answers
I have a Freecom CD-RW which has just started causing problems. It was
working two weeks ago.
I originally thought it was a conflict problem, but I have just re-formated with my recovery disc and it is still not working.
My spec is Win 98se, 320mb RAM, 2x10gig hdd. CD-RW uses Adaptec
software.
I can't get it to do a thing, won't erase RWs or copy to CDs. When I
try, it just freezes. It often (although not always) tells me there is no disc in the drive. I have checked all the connections inside.
Please ... any help form all you experts out there will be very much appreciated!
TIA ;-)

Another possibility is to connect it to a different IDE-controller. Make sure that every program running in the background, has been closed down, except for Systray and Explorer. Als, empty the Windows temp folder and defragment your HD(s).
