I wonder if someone can help. I'm creating a presentation and have added an action that picks up and runs a file when I click on it. The files is a .swf file and when I click on it comes up with the following dialogue box

"Opening C:\\ etc etc

Some files can contain virus or be otherwise harmful to your computer. It is important to be sure that this file is from a trustworthy source.

Would you like to open this file?"

I click yes and off we go but can I change a setting in internet explorer that will stop this dialogue box appearing as it won't look good when I'm presenting?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Meglet

I don't yet know your answer but i have asked someone who will. I am a bit of an amateur powerpointer and may one day come up against the same problem so my curiosity will help you. Will let you know when/if I get and answer.

Thanks Charlie, you are most kind!!
Already they have come up with this as an answer. I haven't had time to assimilate it but you can read it ahead of me and I hope it helps?

You might want to embed the flash into PowerPoint instead:

got another answer from my friends and one of them suggests you read this.

In addition, check into Chirag's utility:

Just had a look at this and this is what you need as it will disable the hyperlink for your presentations. Good luck
