Tom Tom problems

I have the original TomTom Go bought a few years ago when they were the only option and a �500 price tag.

I've had problems with it and it's been replaced twice, although so far I could update software on my computer.

Recently i purchased speed cameras and after 5 weeks chased up Tom Tom who said 'ooops-our error-they are now ready to download'. But are they? Nope! Also my Tom Tom is no longer recognised by the computer whatever I do, and often buzzes loudly for a few seconds when I connect it.

I'm having no joy with Tom Tom (why can;t they just send me the updates via SD card?) so does anyone have any suggestions or has anyone else suffered these issues connecting to their PC?
