I recently purchased an HD ready TV, and a DVD Player with an HDMI port. Everything works fine and I am really pleased with it all, but what I would like to know is, if I downloaded a TV show (from torrent site) that was recorded in HD and listed as HD quality, and I then played it directly on my TV from my hard drive, would it actually be HD quality I was watching? If it is, does the fact that my external hard drive is connected to my tv via Scart have an affect on the quality of the picture?
