LCD Television Interference

Please can anyone help? I've just purchased an LG 32LC56 television online, but when I hover, or the neighbours hover we loose a whole line of pixels from top to bottom of the screen. It stays like this for about 4+ hours, sometimes if I move the screen the picture will come back, but the second I let go it disappears again. I've contact Empire Direct who say it isn't a problem with the TV but our electricity supply! As it wouldn't happen if I didn't hover, that I should contact our electricity supplier or buy a adaptor from B&Q which should fix it. Sounds like a fob off to me. Can anyone help? I also get a lot of mains hum from Sky+ connection and even a top quality scart helps but does not solve the problem.

'hover' ? You mean you can levitate? Can I be your manager!
Fly over (!) to an electronics store and get a ferrite core - clip it over your mains lead and it should reduce interference.
