downloading fonts

I am fairly new to this technology. Could someone please explain how to download a font & transfer it to my font section STEP BY STEP I am using windows xp

first off you download it. if it is in a zip extract it. open up the control panel and find the fonts folder (you will need to switch to classic view if it isn't already, this option should be at the side. simply copy and paste the font into the fonts folder under the control panel

then it will work like any other font

Hope this helps you - go into Microsoft Word and open a new document. Go up to icons at top and click onto Tools,
Customise - a list will come up - be on Commands
lower down to Format
list will come up on right side Font - click onto and drag it up to top where your other icons are.

While you are there - you can drag anything else that might help you.
