Help my boyfriend is gonna miss Heroes!!!

So the boyfriend has set me the task of wiring up the video so I can record Heroes off freeview while he's at work, I've been trying for an hour and it hasn't worked. can anyone explain what I need to do?

Unless your video recorder has its own freeview tuner, you need to set it to either AV1, AV2, EXT1, or EXT2 as the channel, make sure the freeview box is turned on and tuned to the correct channel.

and how do i do that?

I don't know what make of video recorder you have, but you will have to set the timed recording manually - and where it says channel, key in 0 and then a down arrow until it shows the freeview channel which will be AV or EXT.

With the video, tv and freeview box switched on, change the channel on the video recorder through the AV and EXT channels until the freeview channel is playing through the video. Now you know which channel to set.
