Earlier this year I became the owner of a Panasonic DMR-EZ25 DVD recorder and player. Despite all my best efforts I still cannot work the thing. The Handbook might as well be written in Mandarin for all the sense I can make of it. I do not have any three year old grandchildren or nephews / nieces who could show me what to do. Should I cut my losses and get Sky+ or can any AB"er tell me how to drive the thing?

Firstly, I believe this model has a freeview tuner.

How are you receiving your digital signal?

Have you ever managed to record on this machine?

Have you got the correct disks to record to?

Hello Ethel.
There is no Freeview available in this part of the Country. Digital reception is via a satellite dish. Yes I"ve got the correct DVD"s and no I"ve never been able to record anything (that"s down to me, not the machine)
I have a Panasonic DMR EX75EB and DMR EX85EB and I used a scart lead to the television the recorder tuned itself in. I then used the guide on the handset selected a programme pressed enter, selected HDD the programme recorded fine next recording same but used DISC result the same .I cant even use a mobile phone or the remote on the televisions full menu but this was easy.
