Is there an official government organ that deals with SPAM, as it has now become illegal? I do not want to deal with the ISP directly, as it has been proven to be futile.

Yes there is but they have not released their email address for fear of getting mail. So I forward all unwanted rubbish to [email protected]
Nice one Bob - my sentiments entirely!

Ehm thanks, but under the same law, you can be prosecuted for sending SPAM yourselves. Any REAL answers?
i think it's only illegal to spam a business? and since most spam comes from abroad you're wasting your time trying to get action taken. just filter it.
Question Author
That is INCORRECT. It is NOT illegal to spam businesses, only individuals. If you do not know what you are talking about- then do not answer please. I do not want to filter them, I want to REPORT them.
Seeing as your so polite, you'll find all you need to know here - http://www.spamabuse.org/resources_main.aspx

Thank you - but again, that is not what I need. I know all of that already. I need an official to compain to- not the originating ISP. Thanks.
<40>Hello kavakava

What can I do for you?

The Government department you want is - The Office of the Information Commissioner. http://www.informationcommissioner.gov.uk/eventual
.aspx?pg=Contact%20Us They
can only deal with spam originating in the EU as it's not illegal to send it from elsewhere. Plus, I wouldn't expect an answer quickly as they have been inundated with queries. Good luck!
