Connecting Sky Dig to Speaker System
2 Answers
I'm currently helping a mate decorate his bar. He's installed a couple of TV's and a Sky Digi box. The Sky box is connected to one TV by SCART and the other is connected via a wireless AV sender from the Sky box. From the wireless receiver, I want to connect just the vision to the TV - which I've done - and the audio to the speaker system they have. The problem is that the wireless receiver is about 20m from the CD/Minidisc/Mixer etc where it needs to be connected. And that's still a lot closer and easier than taking it direct from the Sky box. Does anybody know where I can get my mitts on a 20m+ phono lead? Do they exist? And if so, does the quality suffer over such a distance? Or does anyone have any other bright ideas? Thanks.

I don't know, but I strongly suspect that the quality might suffer. (The bods in the shop should be able to tell you). Could you not send the signal wirelessly again (possibly a bit expensive), or (depending on the layout) just get a receiver for the audio signal that you could plug into the speaker system?

as they have a store finder...they will make up leads to any size you require.....20 metres isn't that big really...you'll suffer a little drop out but nothing major considering the application you are requiring it for.......Just think of the nice load roars you'll hear when the french score.
