Multi-Media Messaging

i have a Siemens SL55 mobile and i have been sent a few MMS (one ringtone and two pics) but when i receive the message it simply says log on to o2.co.uk to view these messages. obviously i would rather view them on the phone. i went through the online steps to setup my phone to be able to receive MMS and it still happened. anyone know how i get round this?

Phone 02 and they will send you the settings (I did it too), not sure of their number though soz

I had the exact same problem. The reason is that my O2 account is set up for GPRS, not GSM... and the O2 system cannot send MMS via GPRS at the moment. They are installing a new system to do this, and I was told it would be done by early July. If you want to switch to GSM, then your WAP access will be slower, but you will receive MMS messages. Having said that... if the messages were sent from other networks, then I have heard that cross network MMS is another issue where you may need to go to the website to retrieve them.
