Hi, I have a 'Genius Colorpage-Vivid Pro II' scanner, I have recently purchased a new computer. I have an epson (USB) printer, should this affect it??!! The Scanner displays scanner not found in taskbar, and the computer tells me to check whether it's plugged in!!! Please help, thanks alot.

I would check in the computer's BIOS to ensure your parallel (printer) port is set to EPP (enhanced parallel port) or ECP (enhanced capability port) or, even better, ECP/EPP. This will allow the bidirectional comunication that scanners need.
