4 Answers
I am being over come by loads and loads of popups. Mainly do I want a free poloyphonic ringtone??? NO I DON'T!!! So if there is anyone out there who can recommend a really good free popup blocker download I would be grateful.
I have currently got POP COP and I've tried STOPzilla but they don;t appear to be stopping everything. I still have probs on my pc which im currently looking at. Someone suggested the google toolbar?? Is this any good. These are becoming the bane of my life.

The only time you will have to disable this feature is when posting a question on this site, and you might also find a few webpages that won't load correctly, but these are very minor details and easily overcome.
It might be an idea (if you don't already have this) to have SpyBot S&D , SpywareBlaster 3.1 and/or Ad-Aware on your computer as pop-ups can also bring a lot of uninvited 'guests' in the form of spyware. These are all free programs and are highly recommended.
Ditch IE, it's evil. http://www.mozilla.org

I've heard great things about the google toolbar but never used it. Ad-Aware stops some popups but not all. ZoneAlarm offer a free firewall which I upgraded to the "Pro" version and found brilliant at stopping popups - I dunno if both versions do it as I never used the free version for any great length of time. Think of ZoneAlarm as a popup stopper with a free firewall attached, haha
