saving to disc

I know this is easy peasy to most people, but I have never done it! I have an icon on my desktop (my AOL "organize" folder) which I need to save to a disk. Can anyone please give me step by step instructions on how I can do this?!

I suspect that you want to save the folder not the icon, open the folder and save to where you choose,
