My computer at work is on a closed system and you can not download any software onto it. The only way to get files on and off is by using a USB flash drive. I have 7 people on my team and we would like to all share one flash drive to keep all our documents. Is there a way to have a central USB flash drive or link the 7 flash drives so the data could be stored in one place? We would like to save and retrieve documents without having to unplug and pass the drive around. Thanks, Matt

I don't see why not. Just plug the USB into one machine then go into my computer and right-click on the USB drive. Choose sharing and share it out like you would do a cd drive or a folder.
As squarebear says, there should be no problem sharing USB flash drives. However, flash drives are basically memory chips. If the chip dies, you lose everything.

It would be more secure to store business documents on your network drive which would be backed up.

Why can't you save files on your network? Why won't your manager let you save files on your network?

The problem is the computers themselves are not really networked together. We do have a shared drive but it is extremely slow because it is remote and it trying to handle thousands of users. So by plugging into one machine--the other computers would not see it. A good network drive would be ideal but it is not an option at my company.
