dvd - changing Regions

Is it possible to re-record a Region 1 (USA) to make it a watchable Region 2 (Europe) if so are there specialist shops and what would they be.

What you will need to do is use something like DVDdecrypter, in one of the menus there is an option to lose the region code. If the DVD is a dual layer or the data is more than 4.7GB you will also need to use DVD shrink to squeeze it onto a singlre layer disc. You will then need to burn a new dvd using either Nero or any of the freeware burning progams available.
