If you use SSL to upload a file using 128 bit encryption, is the encrypted data being transfered larger than the original file. If encryption does increase the size of the data during transfer how much larger will it be ?

Hey there. It wil be larger. What percentage is debatable, but it slows down you transfer of data by 25 to 30 %. The reason for this is not really the extra size but rather the encryption process that is slow.
