Connecting to a plasma display

I have a plasma display (no tv tuner just display) and i want to connect my xbox to it. The inputs it has is a DVI socket, a VGA socket and some others that are not marked. It also has no inputs for speakers so can i connect an amp to it as i would obviuosly need some sound.? I'm so frustrated with what adapters etc to buy. Any help would be extremely gratefully apreciated. Jen. xx
