New PC - No Flppy Disc Drive?

I've recently purchased an HP T550 pc, which has a DVD Writer & CD Writer drive & a DVD Rom drive. I overlooked the fact that it didn't have a floppy disc drive. I've read that I can buy a floppy disc drive using a USB connection, but before my 14 days exchange/refund policy runs out, should I have bought one with this facility on board? Thanx.

FLOPPY Disc Drive!
There is very little need for floppy drives in new PCs as they can boot from a CD if necessary. Personally I haven't used my floppy drive for over a year. If you have lots of information on floppys that you would like to access then a USB floppy drive would be fine and not very expensive.
these days you could get a digital storage device, like a USB key for not much cash - they hold much more and will cover anything you needed a floppy disk for. they appear as an extra drive in windows explorer and will let you transfer data from one pc to another easily. As floppy disks hold only 2meg or so, they are disappearing whilst a USB key will hold 64 or 128meg at worse

Thank you for your prompt replies & I thought that might be the case. I hadn't used a floppy disc for a very long time, but you know how it goes, you always need something when you haven't got it! I shall keep my super duper pc then! Cheers.
you can install a floppy drive yourself very easily, they only cost around a tenner new and with XP drivers should be generic.
